How we protect your information, operate private events, and keep every celebration safe and transparent.

Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide when you request a quote, reserve an event, complete a form, communicate with us, or otherwise use this website. This may include your name, email, telephone number, event date and location, guest count, service preferences, correspondence, and transaction or billing-related information.

Our website and service providers may also automatically collect device and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, and interaction data.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, prepare quotes and agreements, schedule and deliver services, process payments, communicate about events, secure and improve the website, prevent fraud, maintain business records, comply with law, and—where permitted—send marketing communications.

Shopify and service providers

This website is powered by Shopify. Information may be processed by Shopify and by vendors that support hosting, forms, analytics, communications, payment processing, security, and event operations. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business transaction, or to vendors working under appropriate restrictions. We do not disclose personal information merely in exchange for money.

Cookies, advertising, and privacy choices

We and our providers may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functions, preferences, analytics, security, and—if enabled—advertising. You can use the cookie controls provided on the site and your browser settings. Where applicable law grants access, correction, deletion, portability, or opt-out rights, you may submit a request using the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where legally permitted or required.

Retention, security, and children

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including contractual, tax, insurance, dispute, and legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure. Our services are not directed to children, and event inquiries must be submitted by an adult authorized to contract.

02

Scope of Our Service

COB-BAR supplies bartending personnel and only the non-alcoholic goods or equipment specifically identified in a signed event agreement. Unless a signed agreement expressly says otherwise, our fees cover labor, planning, setup, service, and cleanup—not alcoholic beverages.

Only a written agreement signed by COB-BAR confirms an event, price, staffing level, included items, cancellation terms, and other event-specific obligations. Website text, social posts, messages, estimates, and verbal discussions do not modify that agreement.

COB-BAR may decline, pause, modify, or end service when reasonably necessary for safety, legality, venue compliance, harassment, threats, overcrowding, unsafe conditions, or breach of the event agreement.

03

Alcohol Safety & Refusal of Service

The client must ensure that alcohol is acquired, possessed, transported, stored, and offered lawfully. The client must not charge guests for alcohol, sell drink tickets, collect mandatory alcohol-related donations, or otherwise conduct an alcohol sale unless an appropriately licensed party and all required governmental approvals are in place.

COB-BAR staff may request government-issued identification and may refuse or stop alcohol service to any person who:

  • is under 21 or cannot provide acceptable proof of age;
  • appears visibly intoxicated or impaired;
  • attempts to provide alcohol to a minor or refused guest;
  • behaves dangerously, abusively, or unlawfully; or
  • would be served contrary to law, venue rules, or professional judgment.

No client, host, guest, or venue may direct staff to ignore an age check or continue unsafe service. Refusal or early termination for a good-faith safety or legal reason is not a failure to perform.

04

Client, Host & Venue Responsibilities

The contracting client is responsible for the premises, guest list and conduct, lawful source and quantity of alcohol, food and non-alcoholic hydration appropriate to the event, security when needed, compliance with occupancy and venue rules, and a safe environment for guests and staff.

The client must disclose whether the event is public, ticketed, fundraising, held on licensed premises, or otherwise involves payment or access tied to alcoholic beverages. The client must obtain written venue consent and every applicable municipal, state, or other approval before service begins. Nonprofit fundraising events involving alcohol may require a New Jersey ABC Social Affair Permit.

The client is responsible for arranging safe transportation and preventing an impaired guest from driving. COB-BAR may recommend rideshare, taxi, a designated driver, or emergency assistance, but does not take custody of guests and cannot guarantee their conduct after service or departure.

Purpose and scope of the app

The COB Bar mobile application is provided as a convenient way to view information about Cristina Ovalle Bar / COB-BAR, explore services, access our public website and social links, contact us, and submit reservation or event inquiries. The app does not sell alcoholic beverages and does not provide an in-app marketplace, subscription, user-to-user messaging service, or user-generated-content platform.

Native app data practices

The native iOS app does not require an account and does not independently collect, store, sell, rent, or use personal information for advertising. It does not request access to contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location, Bluetooth, or health data. If you choose the optional Add to Calendar feature, the app may request permission to add the event you prepared to your calendar; it does not read your existing calendar events. The app does not include third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or behavioral profiling.

Basic technical information may be processed by Apple as part of downloading, distributing, securing, or diagnosing the app, subject to Apple’s own terms and privacy practices. COB-BAR does not receive personal information from Apple merely because a person downloads the app.

Website, reservations, and contact forms

The app displays portions of cristinaovallebar.com in an embedded browser. Information transmitted through those web pages is processed as website data and is governed by this Privacy Policy. If you voluntarily request a quote, reserve an event, or contact us, you may provide information such as your name, email address, telephone number, event date and location, guest count, service preferences, and message content. We use that information only to respond, prepare a quote or agreement, plan and provide requested services, maintain appropriate business records, protect the service, and comply with law.

Service providers and sharing

Our website is hosted by Shopify and may use service providers that support forms, communications, security, analytics, payment processing, and event operations. We disclose information only as described in this policy, to providers working for legitimate business purposes under appropriate privacy and security obligations, when a user directs us to do so, or when required by law. We require providers that process personal information on our behalf to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law. We do not sell personal information obtained through the app.

Retention, deletion, and privacy choices

The app does not create or maintain a user account, so there is no in-app account record to delete. Information voluntarily submitted through a reservation, quote, or contact form is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide requested services, maintain contractual, tax, insurance, fraud-prevention, or dispute records, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the type of record and applicable requirements.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with an inquiry by emailing us at the address below with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. You may also withdraw a marketing consent or other optional consent at any time using the method provided in the communication or by contacting us. We may verify the request and may retain information that the law permits or requires us to keep.

Security, children, and policy changes

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no mobile application, website, or electronic transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure. The app and COB-BAR services are not directed to children under 13, and event or reservation inquiries must be submitted by an adult authorized to contract. We may update this notice when the app, website, providers, or legal requirements change; the revised effective date will appear at the top of this page.
